When Adam Lambert finished his performance Tuesday night, Paula Abdul called him the show’s Michael Phelps, wearing Olympic gold. As I discussed in my last post here, however, fans were shocked to see Adam knocked down to the bottom two. But the connection was interesting because Phelps has been rumored to have Marfan syndrome – which was supposedly had by Akhenaton and synchromystically also rumored to be had by Obama.

The “Feeling Good” synch (It's a new dawn/ It's a new day/ It's a new life for me) above made me think I’d better look a little more closely at that song, because clearly it was an important - and maybe the big signal of this week’s American Idol (we have at least one at least every week). Perhaps the message is hope at the other end of a viral apocalypse? (The message is being emphasized through the headlines today - "New Lease on Life" - about the government bailout for Chrysler, which was the subject just a couple days ago of headlines to the effect that the "Bandit" - the Firebird Trans Am - was dead. Now we have a rebirth of this phoenix brand.)

The song itself was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical “The Roar of the Greasepaint – the Smell of the Crowd.” Greasepaint makes me think of the Joker, but I think they meant something a little more pleasant than that - probably clowns. In 1966, Sammy Davis Jr. covered the song. Nina Simone also covered it in “I Put a Spell on You." Adam sang the version by Muse from 2001’s “Origin of Symmetry."

But what really interested me was that George Michael covered the song on his April 1, 2008 album, “Twenty Five” – but only the version released in the U.S. Elsewhere, the album had the song “Freedom” instead of “Feeling Good.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty_Five_(album)) I only noticed that because Goro made a big deal about this album and its connection to some other things, and I will discuss it more below. But one thing that I want to point out right away is that George Michael’s 25 Live tour had 106 shows – 106 is a number that is closely associated with beheading.

Some possible clues to the meaning of 25:

1. Since there is an ongoing Buffalo theme related in part to the fact that there was a buffalo on the back of the nickel, and the band Nickelback has a music video that predicted the earthquake in Italy (I think it was Nickelback - see Goro’s work) and their current album is "Dark Horse," maybe there’s also something important about the quarter, which has George Washington on the face and currently has a series of state symbols on the back (but nomally has an eagle). Just wanted an excuse to mention the Dark Horse thing again to bug Goro.

2. There’s something related to Patti Smith’s song “25th Floor” on her 1978 album “Easter” (Easter came right before the viral outbreak and certainly is a symbol of resurrection, a la the phoenix, and a new dawn):

So this manganese fits both with the “Death Magnetic” theme discussed in my previous post and the notion of purifying the human race by removing people of color. But it also fits with synch number 6 below about adding color.

4. The George Michael version of “Feeling Good” was used in the season finale of the TV show “Eli Stone,” which was about a guy (Eli Stone) who has hallucinations that are predictive of various future events, including an earthquake (see Goro’s work for more on this – his focus was on episode 12, “Waiting for that Day”). Here is George Michael appearing as God to Eli Stone, who is in a coma, and he sings “Feeling Good” as the answer to Eli’s question about how to get home – as in how to wake back up:



The show was approved for 13 episodes on 5/11/07 and the first episode ran 1/31/08. The 13th episode (“Soul Free”) – in which “Feeling Good” was played – was aired on April 17, 2008 – the last day this year before the outbreak became public news in Mexico (we didn’t learn about it here in the U.S. for almost another week). In other words, the last episode in which Eli was feeling good came the night before the outbreak was first reported and people stopped feeling good.

5. On what might seem an entirely different note, the number 25 is of cardinal importance in Ezekiel's Temple Vision (in the Bible, Ezekiel chapters 40-48). I mention this because the name Eli Stone calls to mind the temple, as Eli was the name of the priest who mentored Samuel in the temple. Samuel became a great prophet and judge in ancient Israel. There are also prophecies regarding rebuilding the temple before the end of time. There is probably a lot that could be pulled from this, but I don't have time right now.

6. The teaser trailer for the Pandemic Studios' video game "Saboteur" contains a fragment of "Feeling Good", but with new lyrics. Note the focus in its description on feeling happy and having the will to fight – which is the same as the focus in the Eli Stone episode above. In fact, even the George Michael album “25 Live” could be read to have the same feeling to it – if you pronounce it “LIV” instead of “LIVE”.

I think it’s pretty funny that “will to fight” is abbreviated WtF – which is also the abbreviation for “what the fuck” – which is sometimes said when someone decides to throw caution to the wind and do something irresistible but dangerous.

But if the world's end per the Mayan calendar is considered - 12/21/2012 - then 5/23 is 212 days (or 6 months 28 days) before the end. (212 is an area code in New York City and is the temperature at which water boils at sea level.) The Mayan calendar, then, ends "28 days later" than the mirror point (6 months) from 5/23/2012.

And here's something interesting. The same day Pandemic will be playing in San Antonio, the Sasquatch Music Festival will begin in the Columbia River Gorge.



May 23 is also Turtle Day. Turtles have long been associated with creation myths as well as the concept of longevity and stability. Various Native American groups use the term "Great Turtle Island" as an alternate term for America, implying that the conquest and settlement of the continent by Europeans were illegitimate. That makes this story relevant (I see Jim mentioned this some time ago on another thread):
