Flight 111 has been mentioned on numerous occasions but I would like to start another topic that is somewhat of a 'great syncs' This OP is very long and will take some time to make sense of.

Some corrections from Wiki with first link info. Feel free to make any corrections that you find.( try to avoid my spelling ones to save your time :-D )

There Goes the Sun

On the verge of solar maximum, the August 11, 1999 solar eclipse promises to dazzle millions in the path of totality.

August 5, 1999: On August 11, 1999, millions of people in the Northern Hemisphere will have one last chance in this millennium to marvel at a total solar eclipse. The 50 mile wide path of totality will extend from the western Atlantic ocean, through Europe and Turkey, all the way across India into the Indian Ocean. At the instant of totality viewers situated along this narrow path can glimpse some of Nature's rarest wonders -- "Bailey's Beads," the "Diamond Ring," mysterious shadow bands, and, of course, the Sun's ephemeral corona.

Solar eclipses happen when the new Moon passes in front of the Sun. They don't take place every month because of the tilt of the Moon's orbit. The Moon's orbit around the earth is slightly elliptical, as is the earth's orbit around the Sun. Therefore, the Moon and the Sun do not always appear to be precisely the same size in the sky. The Moon's diameter ranges from 29.3 to 33.5 arcminutes while the Sun's diameter may be anywhere between 31.5 to 32.5 arcminutes. About once a year (on average) when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, and the Moon is the same size or larger than the Sun, we have a total eclipse somewhere on Earth.

Total eclipses are widely regarded as one of Nature's greatest spectacles. The chill and sweep of the Moon's shadow, the sparkle of Bailey's beads, and the sight of the corona blazing across the darkened daytime sky are life-altering experiences for some observers. Many become globe-hopping "eclipse addicts," die-hard lovers of totality who spend years and thousands of dollars traveling from one total eclipse to another.

This year's total eclipse on August 11, 1999 could be even better than usual, thanks to the solar maximum. Every 11 years the sun undergoes a period of heightened activity. There are frequent solar flares, lots of sunspots, and the corona expands to many times its average size. The August 11 solar eclipse will take place just 9 months before the predicted maximum in mid-2000. Even now the Sun is very active, raising expectations for an unusually beautiful eclipse.
Seeing the Sights
Most eclipse watchers consider the corona to be the most beautiful of all the phenomena of totality. The super-hot outer atmosphere of the sun glows with the intensity of the full moon when the sun's disk is completely occulted. Pearly white coronal streamers sometimes stretch several degrees across the sky during eclipses near a solar maximum.

Second only to the corona for dramatic impact, by some accounts, is the Moon's shadow. As totality approaches the shadow can be seen sweeping across the landscape at over 1000 miles per hour. According to Michael Maunder and Patrick Moore, in their book The Sun in Eclipse, " the impression of a vast dark cloak rushing toward you and then enveloping you: the general effect can only be described as eerie." Sometimes, as the Moon's shadow approaches, "shadow bands" can be seen. These are poorly understood, wavy lines of alternating shadow and light somewhat like the ripples on the bottom of a swimming pool.

The swift arrival of the Moon's shadow transforms the landscape. The darkness of totality resembles nighttime, and plants and animals react accordingly. Birds stop singing and may go to roost. Daytime flower blossoms begin to close as if for the night. The temperature drops in the coolness of the Moon's shadow. All of Nature seems to pause for this brief moment of daytime darkness.

There is a special quality to the darkness of a total eclipse. The sky near the horizon still appears bright, and this distant scattered light produces a slight reddish glow and unusual shadow effects. Because the direct light of the Sun is blocked, some of the brighter stars and planets become visible. Because this year's eclipse occurs just one day before the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, sky watchers may also see some rare daytime meteors.

The duration of totality varies depending on the eclipse and the viewing site. On August 11, 1999, the maximum duration will be 2 minutes 22 seconds for observers in south-central Romania. One of the longest eclipses on record will take place in 2009 when the "moment" of totality will endure for over 6 minutes as seen from a spot in the Pacific Ocean ... 05aug99_1/

Each month and year is increased by 1. Flight # 800 is increased by 1 to make Flight # 801. Then add 1 alongside Swissair MD-11 to make 111 as the Flight #. Flight # 801 is the starting point where 1 is shifted to the end of MD-11. This will set KAL 801 as the starting point to MD-11 of increasing the number of deaths by 1, as 228, 229, and 230.

Psalms 116.6 stated “The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.” God preserves the simple, why don’t people see the simplicity?

If the media and people still ignore the divine’s message, the devastating disasters will continue until people understand God’s truth for their own good and benefit.

Curiously, the Swiss Air tragedy also occurred just 7 nautical or 8 miles off the coast of Nova Scotia not far from Peggy's Cove. The Swiss flag carries the Cross! The eclipse culminates Aug 11 at 11:11 UT - the Swiss flight was flight 111. The MD-11 McDonnell Douglas stretch jet is a grand plane in French. There were 229 persons on board. 2+9 = 11. So 229 becomes two of 2+9 or 11:11.

On Feb 11, 1999 Pluto crossed over to an orbit outside of Neptune for the next 228 years (229 passengers). The plane was initially instructed to use level two-niner (29). Flight 111 and was attempting to navigate to runway 6... (6 x 111 = 666). The 7 nautical miles versus 8 miles recalls the ambiguity over how to interpret the use of 'sept' (July vs August) by Nostradamus.

A company called Victorinox, who made the original Swiss army knife, also makes a 111 mm Swiss Air knife! 'Nox' (L. for night), as in equinox, reminds us of crossing a celestial boundary, here into the New Age where there is victory over death. Some astrologers might know that the Swiss are a Virgo (the Virgin) nation. A nearby Virgin Air flight announced: 'Moncton, Virgin 12 will be standing by', which conjures up other Biblical associations. Two other planes nearby were BAW Speedbirds - an apt description of the eclipse's journey. BAW = lambs of God = angels (winged on another plane) arrive soon (speedbird). The plane received its last one-day check-up on Aug 10, 1998; Aug 10, 1999 is the last day before the eclipse. The pilot was Urs Zimmermann. Urs is 'bear' - one of the astrological symbols for Aquarius along with 'man'. (zimmer is 'room'). There were no survivors; the eclipse is total. This too was 'terror in the sky' in 'Sept' month. A harbinger perhaps, with international coverage.

That was the last 'diamond ring effect' of the 2nd millenium.

Among the mysteries about the crash of Swissair Flight 111 off the coast of Nova Scotia in 1998 is what happened to diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other gems that were supposed to be in the cargo hold.
Today they would be worth half a billion dollars.
Very little is publicly known about the gems. Three days before the crash, a popular exhibition, The Nature of Diamonds, closed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. At least one piece from the exhibit was being shipped aboard the Swissair flight on Sept. 2.
Whoever had lent the item to the museum did not want any other information disclosed.
A total of one kilogram of diamonds and 4.8 kilograms of jewelry was being shipped on the plane. Jewelers regularly used the airline to transport gems.
The flight took off from JFK airport and then began to fly over the Atlantic Ocean, destined for Geneva, Switzerland, but a little less than an hour into the flight the crew noticed smoke and issued the international urgency signal "pan pan pan."

2011 speculation

In September 2011, the CBC program The Fifth Estate reported allegations suggesting that an incendiary device might have been the cause of the crash. These claims came from a former RCMP officer who claims that suspicious levels of magnesium and other elements associated with arson were discovered in the wiring, and that he was ordered to remove references to magnesium or a suspected bomb from his investigative notes.[39] The CBC later reported that the magnesium was explained by the long exposure of the wires to seawater.[40]

This memorial is dedicated to the 229 individuals who lost their lives in the Swiss Air crash of September 2, 1998, near Peggy's Cove. The site, which looks out to the original crash site and the other memorial at Bayswater, has an engraved stone monument at which visitors can pay their respects. Located on the west side of Highway 333.

On the 11 of November or 11/11 Wired reports that Jupiter's missing stripe or the Southern Equatorial Belt (shortened as S.E.B) is potentially reappearing.
11:11 is a cultish number in sync circles involving people realizing they have repeated instances of looking at the clock when it says 11:11.
I become aware of K2 synchronicities after reading Ralph Ellis' "K2 Quest of the Gods" where he theorizes the Great Pyramid decodes as a map mysteriously pointing towards K2. After noting famed occultist Aleister Crowley was the firsts person to attempt a serious summit attempt of K2 (the second tallest mountain on Earth) I looked into K2 through the lens of sync.
One of the coolest syncs I noticed - an early powerful & profound experience about the depth and mystery of synchromystic type research - involves Robin Tunney climbing K2 in the film Vertical Limit and also being seen in shot (noteworthy that these instances are on a subway train) with 2K in the film End of Days. K2 can also be seen as 11:11, K being the 11th letter of the alphabet. Further the famed solstice of 21 December 2012 (a rare alignment of Earth, Sun and Galactic Center) happens at 11:11 UTC.

The SEB is a giant missing ring encircling the southern hemisphere of Jupiter, likely about to return.

In Arthur C. Clarke's Space Odyssey series, Jupiter is a major location. For the first story in the series, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the novel and film differ. In the novel, the spaceship Discovery One is travelling to Saturn, and flies close to Jupiter to accelerate via the "gravitational slingshot" effect. The movie 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), simplifies the scenario, where Jupiter is the intended final destination, not a passing point. The sequel novel 2010: Odyssey Two takes place in the Jovian system: the core of the planet is discovered to be made of solid diamond (which is important to the plot of the two subsequent novels) and Jupiter is renamed Lucifer after being transformed into a star, by fictional technology employed by the alien Monolith (see also TV/Films). The Jupiter system is also the theater of much action in 2061: Odyssey Three and 3001: The Final Odyssey.

Meeting with Medusa (1972), novella by Arthur C. Clarke. A journey into the depths of Jupiter's atmosphere, where vast, mile-sized floating life-forms have evolved. This is similar to a scene in 2010 in which Clarke posits that the heart of Jupiter is a diamond the size of Earth.

In 2010 HAL identifies the Jupiter disturbance to be 22, 000 Km in diameter. 22, 000 K being a possible reference to Y2K or 11/11 millennium

This is quite a phenomenon happening (pretty much) world wide at the moment. The
second largest Airline in Australia collapsed a couple of weeks ago and it was
reported on yesterday's news that several other major (world) Airlines are on
the brink of bankruptcy also. Of course this sort of thing doesn't happen takes time to run a major Airline into the ground. By what I can
gather a lot of it's due to corrupt management (mismanagement)...directors
lining their own pockets with gold!
